Gillian StuckiFor years I searched to find my own niche between the two worlds I find most alluring: healthcare and politics. To better understand my options, I interned for three months at Health and Human Services in Washington, D.C. through the Hinkley Institute of Politics. My time there was spent getting nearly "power moved" out of a meeting with the Secretary, writing on services available post-incarceration, recording webinars, exploring museums, and watching the protests against Kavanaugh first-hand on my lunch break.

Being able to witness how Health and Human Services and the greater D.C. area tick allowed me to move forward with greater confidence on a career path towards tearing down barriers individuals experience when accessing health care in the United States.
